TCC Welcomes Jeffrey Blount, Executive Communication Coach

The Communication Center is pleased to welcome Jeffrey Blount to our executive coaching team. Jeffrey comes to us after 34 years of experience in the network television and writing world, bringing a distinctive approach to our training team.
An Emmy-award winning TV director, Jeffrey directed the Today Show for more than 15 years, the Washington portions of NBC Nightly News, as well as eleven years of The Chris Matthew’s Show. He has also been part of NFL broadcasts, State of the Union and rebuttal responses, the funerals of President Reagan and Ford, and election night coverage.
An award-winning writer, Jeffrey’s script work appears in Cortina Productions films, which are on display at the Smithsonian Museum of African American History and Culture, the Muhammad Ali Center, The Newseum, and many more. Jeffrey has also written two novels, one a winner of the 2013 USA Best Book Awards.
Jeffrey also has significant Executive Coaching Experience. Jeffrey was a trainer for on-air talent at NBC, and he has worked with corporate leaders, educational leaders, and athletes. He has also trained rookies from the National Hockey League.
Jeffrey’s experiences directing and participating in news coverage give him a wealth of current knowledge on the news media. This vital experience creates a unique perspective for him to pass on to our clients. Jeffrey will also leverage his experiences as a writer to enhance TCC’s storytelling and messaging learning modules.
