TV, PRINT AND RADIO INTERVIEW TECHNIQUES

We show you how to be your best in any media interview setting – television, radio, print, phone and face-to-face — by showing you how to develop your messages and prepare for interviews. Learn techniques for creating concise, quotable sound bites and ways to develop audience rapport through eye contact, voice control and body language.

We believe no tool is more effective or more eye-opening than video playbacks.  In every session, we conduct on-camera interviews in our fully-equipped television studio.  Interview questions are individually developed for your organization and issues. They are researched and designed to keep you on your toes — just like a real interview.

Find out what it takes to:

  • Manage the challenges of a changing media marketplace
  • Handle interviews while under pressure of the media spotlight
  • Face the most basic to the toughest interviews, including television or satellite appearances, radio or print interviews

We offer a unique opportunity for you to further customize your session by including a working lunch or an additional two hour segment on these specialized topics:

Phone Interviews — Clients preparing specifically for radio interviews, media tours or phone conferences practice these formats over the phone with a trainer from the comfort of their offices.  During a series of short sessions, we work with participants to ensure messages are clearly defined for specific audiences as well as help them enhance their voice tone and delivery skills so they are articulate and animated.

Print — Be quoted more accurately and more often. Our experts teach you how to successfully approach a newspaper or magazine interview. Drawing from their time as former reporters and editors, our coaches offer tips for giving effective interviews and maintaining relationships with reporters.  Choose between a working lunch discussion or see how your story pans out in a mock article exercise where our print reporter interviews you and creates a story complete with headline and quotes.

Voice Coaching — Overcome your overall stress and anxiety about public speaking with techniques to lessen your anxiety and improve any voice-related concerns from dialects and slurred speech to voice pitch and stuttering. Our voice coach has more than 26 years experience helping both accomplished and novice speakers as well as radio and news broadcasters.
