DR. SUSAN MILLER
Susan Miller, Ph.D. specializes in refinement of the speaking voice, accent modification, public speaking anxiety and treatment of the injured voice user. She has over 26 years of experience with professional and amateur speakers, radio and news broadcasters, and singers. Dr. Miller’s work with The Communication Center® includes designing and implementing programs to enhance the voice quality, diction, projection and presentation needs of corporate, government, association and diplomatic clients.
In 2006, Dr. Miller published Be Heard the First Time: The Woman’s Guide to Powerful Speaking. She has been a featured expert in numerous publications including The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Better Homes and Gardens, Rock and Roll, the Washingtonian and the American Way. Her CD, titled Vocal Vitality was also reviewed in the Wall Street Journal.
Dr. Miller is a clinical consultant and an Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology at the Georgetown University Hospital. She is also a clinical associate for The George Washington University Voice Treatment Center, a member of Voice and Speech Trainer’s Association and a consultant for the Bella Voce Center.
